First Light | Suncatcher Rainbow Connection Collection – Lightkeepers Series

The Concept:

A single glowing stained-glass kite that carries childhood joy, morning light, and the promise of new beginnings.

The Story:

First Light was the very first piece I ever created in the Rainbow Connection Collection. The small green kite-shaped suncatcher is full of meaning — it is the same green glass reflection that appeared glowing on the back of my beloved Saber’s neck weeks after its creation in the final sunrise photo I took with her on her last morning. In Saber’s Light Suncatcher Dreamcatcher Mobile, I turned this kite upside down so it hangs as a soft teardrop directly beneath the iridescent piece that holds her hair. For me, it represents both the simple, joyful memories of flying kites as a child on our hometown property and the gentle light that continues even after loss.

Dimensions:

Approximately 2¾” tall × 2” wide
